Hi! My name is Karina, and I am thrilled to be part of the Lou Lou ALX team, which I joined in May 2024. I grew up in DC, Northern Virginia, and Louisiana, and have lived in Old Town Alexandria for four years now. It is such a joy getting to interact with this vibrant community at the store every day. Fashion has been a creative outlet of mine for as long as I can remember. Working at Lou Lou allows me to empower customers along their journey of self-expression, in whatever way that looks like for them. That is so special! I also appreciate how the company creates a space for local creators to really shine. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with loved ones, teaching weekly dance fitness classes, and writing for local lifestyle publications.

My favorite brands at the store are two of our local ones: Crystal Creations by Nellie and Dahlia & Daisy Designs. I love how uniquely crafted the jewelry pieces are. There are such special meanings and messages behind each one, and I’ve seen that really resonate with our customers. There is truly something for everybody!
